TTB: WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO - EXECUTIVE OFFICESThe TTB Executive Offices include: Chief of Staff The Chief of Staff coordinates an array of special policy, regulatory, and legislative matters concerning TTB's operations and advises in areas of policy and program development, resource utilization, and the coordination of internal review investigations. Executive Liaison for Industry and State Matters The Executive Liaison for Industry and State Matters is the principal contact and coordinator for the bureau in industry and state matters, and develops strategies to enhance TTB's relationships with the industry members we regulate, their representatives, and our state government counterparts. Office of Congressional and Public Affairs The Director of the Office of Congressional and Public Affairs works closely with individual Members of Congress and with those House and Senate committees that have appropriations, authorization, or oversight authority over TTB, and is TTB's point of contact for all media inquiries. Office of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion The Office of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) at TTB provides leadership in ensuring TTB's commitment to equal employment opportunities, diversity, and inclusion. Office of Strategic Planning and Program Evaluation The Office of Strategic Planning and Program Evaluation oversees TTB's strategic planning process and performance management framework, coordinates the Bureau's program review process, and is the primary Bureau representative to higher Departmental strategic planning offices and executives. FDA ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT GUIDANCE ON PRIOR NOTICE OF IMPORTED FOODSFDA is announcing the availability of a draft guidance entitled "Guidance for Industry: Prior Notice of Imported Food Questions and Answers (Edition 3)." The draft guidance addresses questions received since the publication of the second edition of the guidance in May 2004 and includes information related to the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), which requires that additional information be provided in a prior notice of imported food submitted to FDA. [Imported alcohol beverages are covered by this aspect of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act.] In addition to other information already required, a prior notice must indicate whether the article of food has been refused entry by any country. The draft guidance is intended to help the food industry and others comply with prior notice requirements. The comment period on this draft guidance opens March 31, 2014. Comments on guidance are accepted at any time, but to ensure that the Agency considers comments on this draft guidance before it begins work on the final version, submit either electronic or written comments within 60 days starting March 31, 2014.
