TTB'S STATEMENT ON THE "HEARTBLEED" INTERNET BUG STATUS (MESSAGE #2)The TTB websites are protected against the "Heartbleed" Internet bug. We have taken steps to mitigate the risks caused by the vulnerability (see April 11, 2014, statement). We implemented a security patch for TTBonline.gov earlier on Friday and we replaced the old certificates for our websites. To complete the mitigation of the vulnerability, expired all users' passwords for COLAs Online, Formulas Online, and Permits Online. As a security measure, you will need to reset your password to access the TTBOnline systems. Your old one will no longer work in any of our three systems – COLAs Online, Formulas Online, and Permits Online. See the instructions below for resetting your password. - For COLAs Online or Formulas Online, please go to https://www.ttbonline.gov/ and click on "Expired Password" link to the right. See more detailed instructions at:
- For Permits Online, please login to the application as you normally do, and you will be prompted to update your expired password. See more detailed instructions on How to Reset Expired Permits Online Password.
Pay.Gov was not impacted by the Heartbleed Bug. We appreciate your patience with this process and assure you that safeguarding your data is our top priority. TTB Newsletter Archives >>> |
