Reminder: IRS Closed Friday June 14; Filing and Payment Deadlines Unchanged The Internal Revenue Service reminds taxpayers that, due to the current budget situation including the sequester, the agency will be shut down on Friday, June 14. 2. Electronic Management System Power Outage Begins June 13 at 11 pm Eastern Because of the IRS closure on June 14, the Electronic Management System (EMS) located at Martinsburg, W. Va., and Memphis, Tenn., will be unavailable from Thursday June 13 at 11:00 p.m. Eastern time through June 15 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time. EMS (both Production and Test) will not be operational during this timeframe. Please refrain from accessing the EMS Production or Testing Systems to transmit tax returns, retrieve acknowledgements or submit any other service requests. 3. Additional County in Oklahoma FEMA Disaster Area FEMA has added Canadian county to the recently declared Oklahoma disaster areas. 4.
